Why Photography Matters
Psychologist David Krauss found that when a child sees themselves in a family photo, they feel they belong to a safe space as part of a whole unit.
In this way, children will see themselves upon the wall and feel loved and cared for.
Krauss believes that, despite living in the digital age where we can snap photos anytime, professional family photos should be displayed on every floor throughout one’s home.
According to Huffington Post, a Tulane University research study showed that through family portraits, children are able to identify the fact that they bring uniqueness to their family, and understand that family members value and protect each other.
