STUDIO POLICIES

PRE-SESSION CONSULTATION

Each session begins with a pre-session consultation, conducted by phone, with all adults who will be involved in the purchasing decision.

During this consultation, we review session goals, creative direction, the overall experience, pricing structure, and studio policies. If we are unable to speak with all decision-makers, we will not schedule the session until everyone has been consulted. This ensures clarity and alignment before your session date.

DEPOSIT & RESERVATIONS

A valid credit card is required to reserve all photography sessions. At the time of booking, a session deposit is collected to secure your date.
• The deposit does not include products or artwork
• Deposits are refundable only if cancellation occurs 7 or more days prior to the scheduled session
• Deposits are non-transferable

ORDERING & ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS

All adults involved in purchasing decisions are required to attend the design and ordering appointment.

This appointment is the first and only time you will view your images. All artwork selections and purchases are finalized during this appointment. Images are retired after this session and will not be available for later viewing or purchase.

Orders cannot be changed, modified, or canceled once finalized.

STUDIO HOURS

Studio hours are typically Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
After-hours and weekend sessions are available on a limited basis and subject to availability.

SESSION FEES

SESSION FEE A – Indoor studio photography sessions require a session fee based on the type of session booked.

SESSION FEE B – Outdoor or on-location photography (home, hotel, beach, etc.) is available at an additional cost and subject to availability.

CANCELLATIONS / RESCHEDULES

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, we require at least 7 days’ notice to cancel or reschedule.

• Cancellations or reschedule requests made 7 or more days prior to the session receive a full refund of the session deposit
• Requests made less than 7 days prior to the session result in forfeiture of the deposit
• Rescheduling requests within 7 days of the session are treated as cancellations
• A new session fee is required to book a new appointment

Studio time, staff, and artists are reserved exclusively for your session and cannot be rebooked on short notice.

LATE ARRIVALS / NO-SHOWS

Please plan to arrive on time for your scheduled appointment.

• Arrivals more than 15 minutes late will result in session cancellation
A $2,000 fee will be charged for late arrivals or no-shows.
• Session time cannot be extended to accommodate late arrivals
• Failure to arrive without notice is considered a no-show and requires a new session fee to rebook

FAMILY SESSION POLICIES

CHILDREN

Children may be photographed individually or together at no additional charge, provided the entire family unit attends the session at the same scheduled time.

PETS

Well-behaved pets are welcome in the studio and may be photographed individually or with the family at no additional cost. Please notify us in advance so we can prepare the studio appropriately. Pets must remain under owner supervision at all times.

PARTIAL FAMILIES

We do not photograph incomplete family units where one or more members are unable to attend and plan to be photographed separately at a later date. A new session may be scheduled once the full family is available.

BOUDOIR SESSION POLICIES

ADDITIONAL ATTENDEES

Any additional attendees must be approved in advance at the time of booking.
No one under the age of 18 is permitted in the studio during boudoir sessions.

Approved attendees may not photograph, film, or observe posing unless explicitly agreed upon in advance.

ARRIVAL

Boudoir sessions require uninterrupted time and preparation.

• Arrivals more than 15 minutes late will result in cancellation
A $2,000 fee will be charged for late arrivals or no-shows.
• No reshoots or partial sessions will be offered for late arrivals

DRESS & PREPARATION

Upon booking, clients receive detailed guidance on wardrobe selection and preparation. Please review all materials carefully prior to your session. Clients are responsible for bringing their own wardrobe unless otherwise arranged.

IMAGE PRIVACY

All boudoir images are private. Images are never shared publicly without written client permission. Any images used for marketing purposes are selected intentionally and only with explicit consent.

PAYMENT PLANS

We offer several payment plan options to help clients achieve their desired artwork. Payment plans must be arranged prior to the ordering appointment. All major credit cards are accepted.

FINAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By booking a session with Butler & Badou Portraits, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these policies.

 
 

GIFT CERTIFICATE HOLDERS

  1. Your gift certificate is for artwork from a family or boudoir portrait session. ‘Family’ is parents and/or grandparents with children of any age. Many clients take this opportunity to make multigenerational portraits including up to 5 generations. Boudoir is for an individual woman or a couple. Gift certificates are not valid past expiration date – your portrait session must occur before expiration date, it is advisable to call us within 7 days of receiving your gift certificate to ensure we can give you more time and day options. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash.

  2. Additional and larger portraits, painted finishes and frames cost extra – You are never under any obligation to invest more than your Gift Certificate value.
