 Frequently Asked Questions

Q: The women on your website all seem like models…I am not a model so I don’t think I can do this.

A: The women we photograph ARE beautiful and amazing and they are not models. One of the things that may have led you to believe they were models, is that they all look super comfortable in their skin, confident, and like they’ve been in front of a camera plenty of times in their lives. This is because; in addition to expertly lighting, posing, and composing each picture, your experience is FULLY GUIDED. You will be coached, posed, encouraged, and celebrated every step of the way by our team of boudoir photographers in Dallas. Because practically none of our clients are experienced with being in front of the camera, at BBP we make client-comfortability our top priority. We’re actually extra passionate about working with women that aren’t photographed regularly because its so much fun to help those women see themselves in a totally different way.

Q: What do your packages include? How much should I expect to spend?

A: The photo shoot experience starts at $1490 +tax (regular pricing). That includes the photo shoot, professional makeup application, picture retouching, the in-person photo viewing for you to order photo products a la carte. At your photo reveal appointment, you will receive a discount off of any additional items such as an upgraded album, additional album pictures, wall art, photo prints, and/or digital files. After all is said and done, clients tend to spend about $4800 (on average) for everything they want from their session. Most of our boudoir photography clients in Dallas don’t think they will love as many pictures as they do…we are that good!

Our packages are thoughtfully built based on our clients most frequent purchases as well as the high demand and limited availability. We do have an incredible selection of additional products that you may upgrade to or purchase separately at your photo reveal appointment.

Q: When and how will I select my favorite pictures from my shoot?

A: We will completely guide you in your ordering appointment. We do this because we have a lot of experience helping clients choose their favorite pictures and this helps you not to feel overwhelmed by options. Two, you get to look and touch all the different finishes, as well as seeing different sizing choices. Finally, as a full service boudoir photography studio in Dallas, we want to help you each step of the way and picture selection and design is the finishing (and possibly most important part) of your experience with us. We also offer remote viewing appointments since it isn’t always feasible to meet in-person.

Q: You offer beauty AND boudoir photography. What is the difference?

A: Boudoir portrait photography involves a certain level of undress (either lingerie, loungewear, other intimate apparel, or nothing at all. These pictures tend to be a little more raw, real, candid, unposed LOOKING (although we do pose you throughout the whole shoot). These are meant to embrace a woman's sexuality, independence, and femininity. Because of the posing and wardrobe, these pictures tend to be more intimate in nature. The finished product is typically a variety of about 60-70 pictures that include "detail" shots such as legs, tush, breasts, back and shoulders, lips, as well as full body scapes and picturers that includes the face.

Beauty portraiture is a bit more polished...with a finished "fine art" look and feel. This is a great option for women who may be a bit intimidated by the idea of baring all for a boudoir photography session in our Dallas studio. Wardrobe for a beauty session can be a ball gown, little black dress, a lace bodysuit, fabric draping, or even nudity.

Q: Where will my photo session take place? Do you have a studio?

A: Yes, our Dallas boudoir photography studio is the perfect private location for you to relax and feel your very best. We have free parking and everything is extremely convenient.

Q: I'm really not comfortable with being photographed nearly nude, but I really want you to photograph me. Is that a possibility?

A: Absolutely! We want you to feel amazing no matter how much or little clothing you have on. We can help you with options and ideas to achieve your goals. Perhaps a more sexy or glamourous look will be the ticket…we can help.

Q: What are your hair and makeup artists experienced with? Can I choose to do my own hair and makeup?

A: We only work with the MOST experienced and professional artists that are skilled in a variety of skin tones and hair textures. They know exactly what to do to have you camera ready. Hair and makeup is very different from what you would wear if you did it yourself and our artists know exactly what you need to get the perfect results. Most clients also find this part of the session very relaxing and its gets them in the mood for their session. Should you decide you’d like to do your own hair and makeup for your session, simply let us know at the time of booking.

Q: The pictures on your website are very tasteful and pretty, but what if I wanted to get a little more risque?

A: Isn’t it so great that we have a variety of art forms and ways to celebrate the female form! For us, we will shoot an array of clothed, partially clothed, tasteful nudes, exposed breasts and bums but no pelvic area will be visible in any of our work. If you like what’s portrayed on the website, then we will be a good match for a nude boudoir photoshoot in Dallas.

Q: What should I wear?

A: This is probably the most popular question…whatever you feel beautiful in. This about an effortless cool girl style and you probably already have most of these. A bodysuit, an oversized sweater, cropped sweatshirt and high waist panties, a robe, sleep shirt...things like that. Some clients opt for lingerie. And many clients choose to do a nude set during their session. We typically have 3 “looks” or outfits (yes, "nude" counts as an outfit). However, you can also just stay in one look for the whole time or do more than 3 and have lots of variety (great for albums!)

Q: Can I have someone with me at my session?

A: Yes, you can, just make sure they are the MOST supportive and encouraging. This is really so that you can work into feeling your most comfortable and focus on what we are doing. The most fun for our clients, if they do want to bring a friend, is to book back-to-back sessions for both of you and make it a girls’ day.

Q: On which days of the week can I have my photo session?

A: Weekdays, Tuesdays through Friday. Found all available times in the "Book Now" tab.

Q: How much can you “edit out”?

A: We will use posing and lighting to reduce any areas that you feel are “problems”. We choose the approach of what would someone look like on their best day and work towards that. That means reducing lines and wrinkles, undereye circles, fixing flyways etc. We prefer a light approach to retouching so that it still looks like you. We also don’t completely remove stretch marks unless you request that. If you have a specific preference, please mention it when you book your boudoir photoshoot at our Dallas photography studio.

Q: Will you use my pictures on your website/blog/portfolio? Or, I don’t think I want anyone else seeing these pictures because of my job or position in the community etc.

A: We would absolutely love to share your pictures. However, we completely respect whatever you prefer. Some clients allow all their pictures to be posted, some only want certain ones shown, and other women don’t want any online. Whatever you prefer, works for us and we will ALWAYS honor your wishes and your privacy.
